At the age of twenty-five Miss Greenshields was married to Mr. John Ormiston Graham at Newlands, Peebleshire on the 3rd of December 1875. Together they had eight children all born in Edinburgh:

Agnes Ormiston "Nan" Graham May 29, 1878 - 1972.
Jane Greenshields Graham April 29, 1880-October 1, 1887.
Walter Graham May 25, 1882 - . He lived to adulthood but where he ended up is currently unknown.
Gavin Greenshields "Guy" Graham July 9, 1885-Nov. 29, 1956. He sailed to the U.S.A. in 1912 but ended up in Alberta, Canada before moving to Massachusetts. Without knowing anything about Walter, as of yet, Guy may have been the only one to marry and to provide Catherine with some grandchildren.
James Ormiston "Ormie" Graham June 26, 1889-June 19, 1915. He was killed at Gallipoli, Turkey.
Catherine Elizabeth Smith "Cathy" Graham May 6, 1891-1977. Cathy and Nan would live long lives. They occasionally traveled to the U.S.A. to visit relatives.
Ellen George Joan Graham Jan. 8, 1895-Feb. 11, 1920.
The mother, Catherine, would live to be ninety-three. She most likely lived with her daughters Cathy and Nan. The last address found for this family was 108 Colinton Road in Edinburg where Mrs. Graham died.
Catherine is pictured about age 90 in the photograph to the left with the tall gravestone. She was visiting the final resting place, in Broughton, for her parents and siblings.
