Ethel B. Granahan, of Forty Fort and formerly of Plains Township, died February 1, 2011, at Hospice Community Care at Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Dorothy .
She was educated in the Plains Township schools.
She was employed by Carter Rubber, Leslie Fay, Stelmar and Roxanne Manufacturing.
She was a member of St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Puk; brothers, Edward Daring and Jack Daring; grandmother, Ethel Claherty, who helped raise her; and Uncle Jack Claherty.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; daughters, Barbara Quadrini and her husband, Ralph, of Wyoming; Dorothy Krakoski and her husband, Tom, of Dallas, and Sandra Viola and her husband, Ronald, of Hudson; sons, Lee Granahan and his wife, Judi, of Scranton, and John J. Granahan II, and his wife, Mitti, of Swoyersville; daughter Sharon Granahan Smith and her husband, Ronald, of Dallas; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Millie Seeman, Wilkes-Barre, Eleanor Zukowski of Plains Township, and Alice Lewis, also of Plains Township; and a brother, Donald Weaver of Wilkes-Barre.
Funeral services were held Feb. 4 from the Mikelski Funeral Home, Plains Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.
Interment Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Plains Township.
