June G. Aiken, 86 formerly of McDonough, passed away on December 23, 2009 in Rochester, NY. She was born on June 24, 1923 in Binghamton, a daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Lord) Granger. On August 18, 1944 in Poland, NY she married Donald Aiken, who passed away on February 11, 2001.
She is survived by her children, Darlene Aiken and Gary L. Aiken; her granddaughter, Denise and husband, Brian Lake; and her great grandson, Jason Lake. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, George Granger, Jerome Granger, Alma Bradt and Betty Wage; her granddaughter, Nicole Aiken, and her great grandson, Jeremy Lake.
June was a member of the McDonough United Methodist Church and was the church organist for many years. She was a member of the McDonough Improvement Committee and helped with the food pantry. She retired from the WRC Home in Oxford.
