Edith Grant Creasman Bostic, 88, of Decatur, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at SunBridge Health Care in Decatur.

A daughter of the late Scott and Flora Perkinson Grant, she was a resident of Decatur for most of her life and was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, the Rev. Earl Creasman; her second husband, Ernest Bostic; and one grandson, Jackie Hennessee. She was a loving mother and housewife.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Billy and Hazel Hennessee and Patsy Hayes; two sons and daughters-in-law, Herman and Ruth Creasman and Donald and Myra Creasman, all of Decatur; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bill Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bowers Funeral Home.
