Sunday, August 5, 2012, C. Ronald Gray died suddenly at his home in Shreveport. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9th, at Osborn Funeral Home. Services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2012, at Broadmoor Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Willis, Rev. Barbara Driscoll and Rev. Graham Riggs. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery. A graduate of St. John's High School in Shreveport, he attended Texas Christian University and Centenary College as an organ major and was a member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity and The American Guild of Organists. Ronnie was a founding member of the Broadmoor Christian Church and for 55 years served as its Music Minister and Organist for which he was given recognition with a Certificate of Appreciation by the Red River Regional Committee of the Disciples of Christ for his services to the Church. He also served as an Elder of the Church. In 1960, he and his wife, Donna, were the first couple to be married at Broadmoor Christian Church. On August 15th, Ronnie would have celebrated his 78th birthday. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Donna; his daughter, Linda Moran and husband, Mark; two sons, Michael and wife, LaJuan and Richard and wife, Kate; grandchildren, Brandy, James, Erin, Connor, Bella and Allison; a brother, Paul and his wife, Joan; and one niece, Karen Malone and husband, Joseph.
