Archie Wallace Gray, 95, passed away peacefully July 30, 2015 in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Gray lived in the Jackson, MS area since 1955. Born in Rodney, Ontario, Canada, he had been a long-time member of First Christian Church, Jackson. Mr. Gray began his professional career with A-M Corporation in the 1940’s, opening and building up sales operations in Corpus Christi, TX and Jackson, MS. After retiring in 1985, he had more time to enjoy fishing, duck hunting and home improvement projects.
He is preceded in death by his father, Reverend Archie W. W. Gray of Canada, his mother Lillian Smith Gray, originally from England, his sister Ruth Gray Butticarlo of Texas, and his son Donald Gray of Clinton. Mr. Gray was married to Azeal Rhodes Gray, mother of his children until her passing in 1984.
He is survived by his son Rickey Gray and his wife Ellen of Brandon and Bill Gray of Vicksburg, MS; grandchildren Carrie Hotchkiss, Shannon Gray, and Jason and Daniel Gray; great grandchildren Wilson and Julia Hotchkiss, and his brothers Rodney Gray of Kingsport, TN and Neil Gray of Yukon, OK.
A private memorial service will be held at Forest Park Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.
