Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the Chadwick Baptist church for Mrs. Mary Frances Applegate, 78, who died March 27 in the Haguewood hospital at Ozark, following a lengthy illness. The widow of the late Joe Marion Applegate, she is survived by two sons, Siegle and Don of Republic; and seven daughters, Mrs. Louisa Moore of Oxford, Kan., Mrs. Cora Moore of Keltner, Mrs. Marie Nash of Bridgeport, Wash,, Mrs. Bessie Hays of Republic, with whom Mrs. Applegate had lived the last two years, Mrs. Media Chapman of Selah, Wash., Mrs. Edna Durbin of Camas, Wash. And Mrs. Blanch Burkhart of Chadwick. Rev. Worth Caughron and Rev. Ivan Coyle officiated at funeral services and burial was in Chadwick cemetery under direction of the Harris Funeral Home of Clever.
