Dorla Green passed away peacefully at St. Alphonsus Hospital on November 27, 2012.
Dorla was born February 14, 1936 in Boise, Idaho to Peder and Evelyn Paulson. She was the third of five children. She attended grade school at the old Ustick Elementary School. Dorla looked after her younger brother Larry and they enjoyed many fun adventures together.
In 1954, she graduated from Meridian High School and then enrolled in Boise Junior College. Dorla worked many years for the Department of Employment, enjoyed bowling on a league, and met and later married John P. Green in November of 1969.
John and Dorla traveled extensively, including Caribbean and Alaska cruises, and to Hawaii and Norway. Dorla will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, John; children, Laurie, Linda, Tom (Jill) and Tim (Debbie); grandchildren, Stuart (Amy), Valerie (Dion), Erin, Erica, Shauna (Kameron) and Monica; three great-grandchildren, Ariana, Laura and Zoe; and her siblings: Pauline, Post Falls, Christine, Gresham, OR, and Larry (Kay), Boise.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Pete Paulson Jr. (1941), and her son, Paul.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Anderson and the staff at St. Alphonsus Hospital for their extraordinary care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Summers Funeral Home, 1205 W. Bannock St., Boise, Idaho. Private burial will be at Morris Hill Cemetery.
