Helen Beacham , 91, of Weiser, passed away October 28, 2013 in Weiser. Services under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomason Funeral Home. Interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Helen Beacham passed away peacefully on October 28, 2013 at The Cottages in Weiser, Idaho.
She was born on Dec. 7, 1921 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Pete and Lena Green. Helen grew up in Scottsbluff where she met Albert Relka at a local Dutch Hop. They were married Dec. 1, 1939 and soon moved to Weiser. They were happily married 22 years and had seven children together. Helen faced many adversities as a young woman as she lost two children to an illness and her husband passed away suddenly. Helen took on the role of raising her five children on her own. She was married to her second husband Afton Harrington, from Council, for ten years until he also passed away suddenly. She worked many years as a bookkeeper at The Merc where she retired. She was married to a wonderful man Grant Beacham for 33 years. They were able to travel and enjoy their retirement years together. Their home was always open to friends and family. Helen was a wonderful cook and hosted countless family gathering over the years.
She is survived by her children Diana Carter, Cathy Adams, Steve Relka, Jodene Maxa, seven step children, five brothers, one sister and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and her children Richard, Margaret, and Dennis Relka. She touched the lives of all she met and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home. A potluck will follow at the Weiser Community Church.
