Former elementary teacher
at Jefferson Public School

Helen Bayard, 100, of Windsor, Conn., formerly of Jefferson, Waynesburg and Rices Landing, Greene County, died Friday, November 13, 1998, in Windsor Rehabilitation Center in Windsor.

She was born July 3, 1898, in Jefferson.

Mrs. Bayard lived her entire life in Jefferson, Rices Landing and Waynesburg until moving to Windsor six years ago.

Before her retirement, she was an elementary school teacher at Jefferson Public School.

Mrs. Bayard was a member of Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association, Daughters of the American Revolution, Jefferson United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women of the Church.

She was married to William Hewitt Bayard, now deceased.

Surviving are a daughter, Helen B. Hall, also of Windsor; four grandchildren; and five great-grand-children.

BAYARD - Friends of Helen Bayard of Windsor, Conn., formerly of Jefferson, Waynesburg and Rices Landing, Greene County, who died Friday, November 13, 1998, may attend a graveside services at 10 a. m. Tuesday, November 17, at Hewitt Cemetery, Rices Landing, with the Rev. Carol Touvell officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Jefferson United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 217, Jefferson, PA 15344. Arrangements are being handled by Carmon-Windsor Funeral Home, Windsor, Conn.
