CENTRAL CITY - Joan Beasley White, 72, of Central City, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 1:50PM at Heartland Nursing Home in Louisville. Mrs. White was born July 7, 1942, in Muhlenberg County. She was a retired cafeteria cook with the Muhlenberg County School System, and a member of Woodson Baptist Church. She loved her family, and was very involved with her church work. She loved life and the opportunity to serve others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Beasley; brothers Jimmy Gregory and Bill Gilbert; and parents Milton and Cordie Gregory.
Survivors include her husband, Willis Eugene White; daughter Sherry Clark of Georgetown; grandchildren Shelby Elizabeth Clark of Alexandria, VA and Samuel Jacob Clark of Georgetown; twin sister Jean (David) Griffin of Hammond, IN; sister Mary (George) Drake of Central City; sister-in-law Sue Beasley of Greenville; and niece and nephew, Robin (Russell) Lee and David Wayne (Jackie) Griffin, both of Hammond, IN.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Travis Fox officiating. Burial in Memorial Gardens in Powderly. Visitation will be Friday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneral home.
