Linda Sue Griffin Asprey Stevens Doriot, 56, of Stryker, OH formerly of Bruno, WV, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 4, 2007, from her home after a short illness. She was born March 5, 1951, at Man, WV a daughter of the late Berta Cork and Ruth Dyer Griffin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Douglas Stephen Asprey; her secord husband, Edward Ray Stevens; one brother, Clifford Griffin; and one grandson, Anthony Lee Workman. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church at Stryker, OH. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Leslie Doriot of Stryker, OH; two daughters, Michelle Workman of Columbus, OH and LaDonna (Joe) Brumfield of Bruno, WV; one son, Matthew Stevens of Cleveland, TN; two step-sons, Andrew Doriot of Stryker, OH and Nicholas Doriot of South Carolina; two brothers, Larry (Paula) Griffin of Bruno, WV and Bob (Shelia) Griffin of Huntington, WV; two sisters, Delores Bowen of Bruno, WV and Kelly (Dale) Goodman of Christian, WV; three granddaughters, Stephanie Workman, Kristina Robinson Brumfield, and Tara Linda Brumfield; one step-granddaughter, Starlena Workman of Cyclone; and several nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the Sand Lick Free Will Baptist Church at Bruno, WV with Rev. Ronald McCoy and Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until midnight Tuesday at the Sand Lick Free Will Baptist Church and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be family and friends. Honorary pall bearers will be Little Larry Griffin, Jason Griffin, and Randy Vanover.
