He belonged to the Elks lodge in Compton and the oil workers union. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Hazel Scares of Oakland and Mrs. Helen Murray of San Leandro; sister, Mrs. Nellie Griffin of Berkeley, and brother, William E. Griffin of San Francisco. Burial will be in the All Souls Cemetery.
