Barbara (Grimaldi) Corona, 80, wife of the late Anthony James Corona, passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital Tuesday, May 24, with her family by her side.
Barbara was born in Hartford, CT on July 10, 1935, to Anthony & Lena (Nargi) Grimaldi.
For over 30 years Barbara was employed with the Rocky Hill Board of Education, most of which were spent working in the cafeteria at West Hill School. Prior to that she was a Beautician.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony James Corona, after 60 years of marriage, and her daughter Patricia Corona. Barbara is survived by her son Anthony Corona, Jr. of Wethersfield, CT and daughter Trina Corona Rossitto and her husband Luciano of Rocky Hill, CT. She was a beloved "Gram" to her three grandchildren Mathew Corona, Ainsley Rossitto and Jamie Corona. She was predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Bator, Mary Ann DeMeo, and Joan Egan. She leaves behind sisters Judith Diciccio and Arlene Piccolo. Private services were held Thursday May 26, 2016 at Cedar Hill Cemetery where Barbara was laid to rest beside her husband Tony and daughter Patti.
