anice Grimsley Delozier, 75, died on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Born on July 6, 1941 in Columbia, Janice was a daughter of the late William Daniel and Olga Coutsos Grimsley. She was a member of Killian Baptist Church in Columbia. Janice retired as an Associate Dean at the Darla Moore School of Business with the University of South Carolina and was a member of the retired Administrative Employees Club with the University of South Carolina. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her whole world revolved around taking care of her family and seeing to their well-being. She was a fan of the game of golf, an all around sports fan but most importantly, Janice was a 10,000% Gamecock fan.

Janice is survived by Cecil Sheppard; her sister, Beth Parler (Dan); daughter in law, Kathleen Morris; grandchildren, Danielle Strong, McKenna Morris, Kyra Morris; great-grandchildren, Alaysia, James, Skylar, Destiny, and Lillie; a nephew, Tripp Gale, as well as a great nephew, Ellis Gale. In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her children, Jilda Sharp, who died in December of 2016, and Mitchell Morris, who died in March of 2017.

A graveside service for Janice Delozier will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 4 o’clock at Killian Baptist Church, 577 W. Killian Road in Columbia with Rev. Jerry Gadsen officiating. A visitation will be held Saturday, April 8 from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock in the evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext in Columbia.
