Sylvania, GA - Mrs. Dorothy Griner Anderson, 84, died Saturday, October 28, 2006, in the Screven County Hospital.
The Screven County native was a member of the Sylvania First Baptist Church and was a retired beautician.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy A. Main and two brothers, Lavaughn Griner and Lewis Griner.
Survivors include: her husband, Edward Nelson Anderson, Sylvania; a daughter, Jane A. Romansteine, Sylvania; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances G. Godbee and Melba Jean G. Jeffers both of Sylvania, and Linda G. and Joe Morris, South Effingham, a brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Elaine Griner, Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren, Michael Dewall Waters, Charleston, SC, Emory Christopher and Amelin Main, Ridgeville, SC, Janet Lynne and Trey Moore, Columbia, SC, Leslie and Mark Thompson, Charlotte, NC, and Jeffery A. Main, Summerville, SC, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sylvania First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lonnie Norris officiating. Burial in Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be nephews.Honorary pallbearers: Members of the Virginia Sunday School Class of Sylvania First Baptist Church.
