Mrs. Frank Beecher Died Monday
Mrs. Mildred Griner Beecher,67,died Monday at her home after a short illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Evans County and a member of Union United Methodist Church and the Union Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Martha Washington Chapter 300, Order of the Eastern Star, the Order of Amaranth and was a licensed practical nurse. She was retired from the Altamaha Community Action Center.
Surviving are her husband, Frank Beecher of Claxton; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Tippen of Richmond, Ky.; two brothers, Enoch Griner of Reidsville and Jim Griner of Claxton; three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim McClendon and Rev. H.W. Stephenson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were James McGee, Johnny McGee, Leon Tipton, Robert Beecher, David Beecher, Jennings Beecher, and W.L. Anderson.
Nesmith Funeral Home was in charge.
