PEARL EDNA ‘GRINER' ALLEN
Pearl Allen Funeral Scheduled Saturday
Pearl Edna Allen, 71, Cove resident and housewife, died at the Grande Ronde Hospital Wednesday. Born at Nashville, Ind., she had been a resident of Cove for the past 31 years. She was a member of the Christian Science Church, Grange, Olivet Chapter No. 3, OES, D.K. Chapter; P.O.E. Services will be held at Dempsey's Funeral Chapel Saturday at 2 p.m. Alan Christensen will officiate. Burial will follow at the Island City Cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Royal J. Allen, Cove: daughter, Marjorie Nicison, Prineville: brothers, Charles Greiner, Tacoma, Wash., Virgil Greiner, Illinois; sisters, Grace Smith, North Carolina, Zelda Greiner, Detroit, Mich, Rose Kutz, Nashville, Ind., Margaret Cormwell, Indianapolis, Ind., niece, Mrs. Donald Otten, Seattle, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

PEARL E. GRINER ALLEN
Pearl (Griner) Allen passed away Tuesday, February 25. She was born in Brown County and was the daughter of the late Edward and Amanda M. Griner. She was educated in Nashville and taught school in the County. Funeral services were held on Saturday in Cove, Oregon, where she made her home. Surviving are her husband, R. J. Allen, four sisters; Mrs. Rose Kirts, Nashville; Mrs. Margaret Cromwell, Indianapolis; Mrs. Grace Smith, Skyland, North Carolina; and Zelda Griner of Detroit, Michigan. Two brothers, Edward Griner, Tacoma, Washington and Virgil Griner of Orange, Illinois. One sister, Mrs. Richard Coffey (Vic) and one brother Jacob Griner preceded her in death.
