OBITUARY:
Clarence "Bunt" L. Guist, age 87, of Canton, died Monday in Mercy Medical Center after a three month illness. Born in Apollo, PA. He had been a Canton resident most of his life. He was the retired owner of Guist's Super Service at 6th and Cherry Ave NE. Clarence was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, St. John's Guild and the N. Canton Eagles Aerie No. 2223. He volunteered for many years at the Samaritan Table at St. John's Church. Survived by his wife, Wilda G. (Schreffler) Guist; a daughter and son-in-law, [names omitted]; a son and daughter-in-law, [names omitted]; two sisters, Alice Kaiser and Mary Fonner; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Merle and Jane Guist, Dr. Harry and Ryllis Guist, and Hilda Guist all of Canton; seven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church with Fr. Ronald Klinger as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 4-6 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.
