CHARLES was the youngest son/child of :
~ " John Anthony, JR." (1746 VA—1822 VA) &
~ "Susan Austin" ((1749 VA—1817 VA).
His Parents married in 1771 VA. They had 8 Children = 6 sons & 2 daughters who were raised @ a home on their land around the Otter River.

~ 3 of the 6 sons of John Anthony, JR.:
~ Capt. Mark Anthony, SR.,
~ CHARLES Anthony, &
~ Abner Anthony
established ferry stations (also called ford lines) on: Anthony Mill Creek (today known as Mill Creek) in Bedford Co., VA; on the Otter River in Campbell Co., VA; on Roanoke River in Pittsylvania Co., VA; & on the Roanoke River in Franklin Co., VA. There was also an Anthony's Bridge which was destroyed a few decades ago so "progress" could take place.

~ Capt. Mark Anthony, SR. had a grist mill & saw mill besides the ferry station @ Anthony Mill Creek where he lived & raised his 13 children.

~ CHARLES turned mostly to farming & built a home in the early 1800's that he called "Walnut Hill" near Evington. There is a family cemetery located on the grounds of the estate where many of the Anthony Family are buried (as stated in the papers in the Library of the State of VA). Charles' descendants live in the beautiful home today which is on private property. [Another Walnut Hill (also near Evington) is on the registry of historic homes which is owned by the Leftwich family.]

(Callie was named-for her dad's mom, Susan Austin. Callie named hers & Victor's only child (a daughter) Victor Morginna Brandon. This daughter married a Peters. The Morginna name that Callie gave their daughter was in-honor-of her sister who died @18…although Callie spelled it slightly differently.)
