She was born Dec. 9, 1916, in Forestville, the daughter of the late Emil and Martha (Kroening) Hafeman. On Nov. 13, 1935, she married Clarence John Delwiche in Sturgeon Bay. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1971.
Ruth was a lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Forestville. She enjoyed reading, watching baseball, especially the Brewers, dancing, and playing cards with family, and loved shopping.
She will be missed by her three children and families, Clarence (Nancy) Delwiche, Janesville; Cyndy (Craig) Huxford and Patty (Richard) Herschleb, Green Bay; six grandchildren, Barb Blaha, Green Bay; Dan (Ruth) Delwiche, Chicago; John (Joan) Schinktgen, Green Bay; Denise (Rick) Stromme, DeForest; Dawn (Tim) Vogt, Janesville; Rick Herschleb, Green Bay; nine great-grandchildren; and her dear great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; daughter, Angeline Schinktgen; two brothers, infant brother, Ernst Hafeman, and Richard (Vinnie) Hafeman.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Forestville, with the Rev. David Luhrs pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in the Town of Sevastopol.
