BOURBONNIE _ Bertha Barbara (nee Hagel) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Bertha on April 7, 2006, at Cedars Villa Long Term Care Centre from multiple myeloma cancer at the age of 81 years. Mom leaves behind her children, Deborah (Daryl) Jans, John (Marian), Craig (Angela), Wendy (David) Walsh, Barry and Kevin; her grandchildren, Tyler (Dana) Jans, Brooks Jans, Jennifer, Jennette, Lisa and Jacklyn Bourbonnie, Alicia Walsh and Rya Bourbonnie. She is also survived by a brother, Marcus Hagel and a sister, Agnes Schmaltz, and numerous other relatives. Mom was predeceased in 1993 by her husband Jack, grandson Kyle, parents, Anton and Rosa Hagel, seven brothers and two sisters. We would like to thank Dr. Blahay, Gail, Anne and the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre as well as Dr. Verbeek, Bonnie and the wonderful staff at Cedars Villa for their care and compassion. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church (1525 - 45 Street S.E.) on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Dominic Phamvanbao, OP, Rev. Frank Feldman, SAC, Celebrants. Graveside Service to follow in the Garden of Heritage, Mountain View Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations may be made in Bertha's name directly to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Tom Baker Cancer Centre (1331 - 29 Street N.W., Calgary, AB, T2N 4N2) or the Canadian Downs Syndrome Society (811 - 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 2A4). Arrangements entrusted to MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME and CEMETERY, 17 Avenue S.E. at Garden Road (1.5 km east of 84 Street S.E.).
