A daughter of the late Gordon and Helen (Haffner) Hagerman, Helen was an avid gardener, birdwatcher and loved doing arts and crafts. She particularly loved her colony of purple martins. Helen was a Christian and a member of the Wheelersburg Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and past employee of Furhmann Orchards. Helen was a proud graduate of the Minford High School class of 1960.

Along with her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Lowell Selven Adams and a granddaughter, Kristen Lawson. Six siblings preceded her in death, Ruth Stoneking, Alma Bloomfield, Patsy Skaggs, and Bill, Bob, and Nick Hagerman.

Helen is survived by her four children, D. Keith Adams of Columbus, Lowell K. (Debbie) Adams, Kurt (Tracy) Adams, and Kim (Tom) Lawson, all of Wheelersburg. Helen had five grandchildren, Matthew (Vanessa) Lawson, Nathan, Nicholas, MaKayla and Jimmy Adams. She had three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Ellie and Jenna Lawson. She is survived by three siblings, Bonnie Hollis of Sciotoville, Dave Hagerman of South Carolina and Martha Tackett of Springfield.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Minister Lynn Wessell officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace.
