Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Sharp & Doney Chapel for Mrs. Mary Bankert, 87, former resident who died Wednesday. She was the widow of George Bankert, early day municipal power plant superintendent of Del Norte.
The Bankerts left here years ago and moved to Castle Rock, where they lived many years, to return to Del Norte and the Willowcrest to make their home.
She was a long time member of Neighbors of Woodcraft here. She was a native of Pittsburg, Kansas.
The only immediate survivor is a granddaughter, Esther Clothier, of Houston, Texas.
Rev. Phil Ramer officiated and pallbearers were Delbert Woodruff, Miner Wells, Elijah and Chris Aydelotte, Roy Wells and Lynn Woods.
