Age 84, of El Dorado AR, died Tuesday at John R. Williamson Hospice House; born in Hermitage AR to Jasper Geffrey Hairston and Lora Classtic Langston; owner and operator of Nell's Beauty Shop for forty years, and later worked as a Walmart Greeter; a member of Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Ernest Erwin "Pete" Alexander, whom she married February 20, 1943, brother Dwayne Hairston, and sister Martille Hairston.
Survivors include daughter Charlotte Stookey (Clyde "Bobby"), son Gary Alexander (Sharon), four granddaughters, a great granddaughter, three great great grandchildren, brother Kyle Hairston, sister Lavern Smith, and companion of twenty years, Pete Darden.
