"The Valley Times News" - Monday, January 15, 2001:

LAFAYETTE -- Mrs. Carolyn Danforth of LaFayette died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001 at LaFayette Nursing Home in LaFayette.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Jan. 14 at 2:30 p.m. at Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette with the Rev. Joyce Woodstuff officiating. Burial followed in the LaFayette City Cemetery.
Mrs. Danforth is survived by her sister, Louise Stanley of LaGrange; and many nieces and nephews.
Born in Abbotsford, Ga., Mrs. Danforth was a retired school teacher. She was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and had a speaking part in the movie "Norma Rae" that was filmed in Opelika. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in LaFayette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Danforth.
Jeff Jones Funeral Home in LaFayette is handling arrangements.
