Mrs. Sammie Hailsip Armstrong, 93, a resident of Braden Road, Frankewing, and a homemaker, died Thursday (May 21, 1998) at Donalson Care Center. Mrs. Armstrong was a native of Marshall County, daughter of the late John Sam and Laura Gunter Haislip and a member of the McBurg United Methodist Church. Survivors include her children, Peggy Durham of the McBurg Community and Howard Armstrong of the Red Oak Community; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Higgins Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Tieman officiating. Interment was in Wrights Cemetery. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
