ALBERT J. HALL
Services for Albert James Hall, 73, of 111 Branch St., Bennington, a retired employee of the Bijur Co., who died Tuesday morning at Putnam Memorial Hospital after a long illness, will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard D. Campbell, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Entombment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery vault, pending burial in Bennington Village Cemetery at a later date.
He was born in Albany, N.Y. Oct 22, 1901 to Albert and Rosa Hall, received his education in the schools of Bennington and served with both the Marines and the Navy. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was an avid fisherman, specializing in tying flies.
He leaves his widow, the former Isabel Barney; two sons, Kenneth A. of Bedford, Mass and John A. of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Clark of Endicott, N.Y.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ethel Hamilton of Bennington and Mrs. Barbara McCarthy of San Jose, Calif.; his mother of Bennington; 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and cousins.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bennington Rescue Squad through the funeral home office.
