Margaret R. Adams, 94, office clerk at Towle

Margaret R. (Hall) Adams, 94, of 77 High St., died Saturday at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport. She was the wife of the late Howard Merton Adams, who died June 28, 1989.

Born in Lawrence, June 13, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Austin B. and Margaret (McGowan) Hall. She had worked as an office clerk at Towle Manufacturing in Newburyport, retiring in 1966.

A communicant of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, she was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella.

She is survived by her three stepchildren, Howard M. Adams Jr. of Newbury, Kenneth J. Adams of Newburyport and Alan I. Adams of Newbury; three sisters, Winifred Carroll, Mary Shea and Edna Finnegan, all of Newburyport; 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services from Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Funeral Home, 35 Green St., will be Thursday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 9 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception.

Burial will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday, 6 to 8 p.m.
