Dorothy Elene Atherton, age 87, of Elysian, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at the Waterville Good Samaritan Center.
Private family interment was held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian. Prosch-Dennis Funeral Home of Waterville handled the arrangements.
Dorothy Elene, the daughter of Albert and Mila (Lewis) Hall, was born November 8, 1915 in Lakota, Iowa. She attended school in Iowa and graduated from Owatonna High School. She worked at a photography shop in Owatonna before marrying Edward William Atherton. She was later employed at the E. F. Johnson Company in Waseca for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian.
She is survived by one son, Edward Atherton, and his wife, Margaret of Elysian; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, and one sister.
