Edith Elphine Marie (Hall) Abrahamson was born Aug. 19,1907 to Loth and Emma (Johnson) Hall, on their family farm south of Lindstrom. When she was about 12 years old, she and her parents moved into Center City.

She was baptized Sept. 1, 1907 and confirmed June 4, 1922, st Chisago Lakes Lutheran Church in Center City where she remained a lifetime member and was active in various womens groups. She was educated in the local schools, graduating from Center City-Lindstrom High School in 1927. She then worked as a central operator in the Center City telephoen office.

On June 29, 1929 she was united in marriage to John Abrahamson, at her parents home in Center City. They bought a farm north of Center City, where they lived until 1955 when they moved into a new house in Lindstrom and Edith went to work at the high school until retirement age. After the death of her husband John in 1982, she mained in her home until 1995 when she moved to the Lakeview apts. Illness hospitalized her and she resided for 2 months at the Fairview Lakes Convalescent and Nursing Center in Chisago City, where she died Jan 27, 1999 at the age of 91.

She is survived by her 3 children, sons Marlyn and wife Nelda of Lindstrom, Ronald and wife, Violet of Ceder Falls, IA and daughter Janet of Bloomington. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Sharon (Clint) Kyhl, Hot Springs, SD; Kevin Abrahamson, Plymouth, Carol Abrahamson, St. Louis Park; David (Pam) Abrahamson, Alpharetta GA, Loren (Lisa) Abrahamson, Centerville and Alan (Susan) Abrahamson, Lindstrom, 8 great-grandchildren: Keith and Craig Kyhl; Erin, Joshua, Adam, Tyler, Jenna and Timothy Abrahamson. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband John, 6 brothers 4 sister.

She is so very lovingly remembered for her love and devotion to her family.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan 30, 1999, at Chisago Lakes Luthern Church, Center City with rev. Larry Lystig and Rev. Russell Peterson officiating. Burial at Hillside Cemetery, Center City.
