Mrs. Winnie Aldred 1984 Halifax Herald

Mrs. Winnie Florence Aldred, 90, Margaretsville, died Sunday, July 29, 1984, at Mountain Lea Lodge, Bridgetown.

Born in London, England, she was a daughter of the late John and Edna (Barkhouse) Hall.

She and her husband, Gordon, operated Surfside Pavilion, an ice cream parlor, for many years at Margaretsville.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; three brothers, Reagh, Jacob, and Laurie; one sister, Melora.

The body is in Warren T. Roop Funeral Home, Middleton, where funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. Stuart MacLean officiating, with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton.

Donations may be made to Soldiers Memorial Hospital.
