Clarice Ella (Colby) Halme, 92 of Brattleboro, Vt., formerly of Penacook, N.H., passed away on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017. She was married to the late Arthur Halme for 50 years and they had 4 children.

Clarice was a homemaker who loved to care for trees and flowers at her Penacook home. She enjoyed small animals and shared her life with many pets over the years to include a donkey named Pedro. Clarice loved to play her organ, to sing, and delighted in poetry and short stories. She loved to tell funny stories and enjoyed making others laugh. She enjoyed reading the Bible and expressed a hope in the resurrection of the dead just prior to her death.

She was predeceased by her parents, several siblings and oldest son Thomas.

She is survived by her brother, Floyd Colby of Franklin, N.H.; daughter, Sandra Curtis of Franklin, N.H.; son, Toby and wife, Pam of Chester, Vt.; daughter Robin of Phoenix, Ariz. and 3 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Clarice was laid to rest in Concord, N.H. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, N.H. The family will hold a graveside service in the Spring.
