Mrs. Applegate was the wife of the late Jacob P. Applegate of Silverton and the daughter of Capt. John Halsey [and Mercy Fischer], widely known in Ocean County. Her sister, Miss Sarah Halsey, is a resident of Bradley Beach. Besides the relatives mentioned, two daughters survive, Miss Eleanor Applegate of Silverton, and Mrs. Sarah V. Polhemus of Lakewood."
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Silverton M.E. Church. "
