She was an active member of the Porterville community where she taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir, was a Cub and Campfire Leader, a member of Junior Women's Club, the Rocky Hill Women's Racing Association, Setco, 20 ands and was a Pink Lady at Sierra View Hospital.
She worked for Josten's and was their first female Supervisor. She loved music and playing the piano and was quite the crafter spending countless hours in her craft room. She and Richard traveled extensively through the United States, Europe, Russia, China, Central America and the Caribbean. She loved her childhood friends and went to monthly lunches with them and also served on her high school reunion committee. Maureen had a great love of animals and served on the city Animal Control Commission. She was kind, loving, quick witted and her house was always open to anyone in need.
Maureen led a life worth living and was a great role model for all. She will be cherished and missed by her family and many friends. A Graveside Service will be held 11:00am Thursday December 1st at Porterville Hillcrest Memorial Park followed by a reception at the Porterville Nazarene Church.
