Donald “Donnie” R. Hanley, 72, of Richmond Heights, Missouri, passed away at 8:59 P.M. Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born Friday, May 12, 1944 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois to Roy A. & Grace J. (Page) Hanley. He is survived by his brother: Bill Hanley and wife Teresa of Eldorado, Illinois, sisters: Donna Hooper and husband Ron of Eldorado, Illinois and Codie Peterson of Centralia, Illinois, and his loving companion of 15 years: Zofia Zajac of Saint Louis, Missouri. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, and family, children, and grandchildren of Zofia, who were very dear to him and loved Don very much. His parents, step mothers, and two sisters: Lois Martin and Lodi Greenwalt preceded him in death. Don worked at Nestle Corporation in St. Louis for many years. After his retirement, he went to work part-time at Schnuck’s Grocery in St. Louis. He made many friends there with workers and customers alike. He also had a special employer/friend, Dr. Thwan Han, whom he began driving for after the doctor could no longer drive himself. He became great friends with Dr. Han and his entire family. Don was a kind outgoing man who made friends with everyone he met. Graveside Memorial service, Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 10:30AM at Bethel Memorial Cemetery, Mt Vernon, Illinois
