Prince Frederick was born the second son of King George III of England & Queen Charlotte of Mecklenberg-Streltz in the St James' Palace, London, Middlesex, England. He was named Duke of Albany, Duke of York and Earl of Ulster.
On 23 Nov 1791, he married his cousin Princess Fredericka Charlotte of Prussia. The couple had an unhappy marriage and was childless. It was rumored that he fathered several illegitimate children.
