Frederick Ivan Harlan, 78, of Springfield, died Tuesday at St. Johns Hospital.
He was born in Berlin, the son of Fred and Allie Buchanan Harlan. He married Mary Jane Owen.
Mr. Harlan was the building superintendent at the Leland Building and a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors, wife Mary Jane, a son James Harland of Springfield, two daughters, Margaret Parks of Buffalo and Joyce Goldesberry of Springfield, eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. five sisters, Eileen McAfee of Aurora, Colo and Alice Hopper, Nadine Busby, Edna Clark and Bernice Young all of Springfield, four brothers, William Harlan of Waggoner, Dewey Harlan of Springfield, Delmar Harlan of Athens and Herbert Harland of Golden, Colo and several nieces and nephews.
