Pauline (Hawley) Hinman of Eagle, Idaho died peacefully Saturday nigh at home with family by her side. Born and raised in Boise, she was the sixth of seven children born to Jess and Genevieve Hawley. Pauline is the granddaughter of James H. Hawley, former Governor of Idaho. She attended St. Theresa´s Academy and the University of Idaho, where she was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority and graduated with a bachelor of science in bacteriology. She worked at St. Luke´s Hospital, Boise State College and Morrison-Knudson (MK). Pauline was appointed to the Idaho Women´s Commission by Governor Cecil Andrus and served from 1973-1976. She was an active member of Zonta International for many years and served as president of the Eagle Chapter in 1995. She lived in Eagle for 30-plus years and was proud of the positive impact her volunteering had on her community. She was an active member of the Lion´s Club, Eagle Planning and Zoning Commission, president from 1998-2001 for the Eagle Chamber of Commerce, and Chair of Committee and as Grand Marshall of the Eagle "Fun Days" Parade. Pauline was awarded "Eagle Citizen of the Year" in 1996 and 1997. Pauline is survived by her sister, Eileen of Exeter, New Hampshire; her sons, Jess (Patty) of Richland, Wash., JC of Eagle and Burry (Jean) of Kansas City; her four grandchildren, Nick, Michael, Christine and Jill; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Genevieve Hawley; her sisters Mary Moller and Genevieve Wright; her brothers, Jess, Jim and Jack Hawley; her beloved brother-in-law, Crawford "Moe" Hinman; and nephew, Crawford "Beaver" Hinman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pauline´s name to the charity of your choice. Friends and family may gather from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho. Private family graveside service will follow. Services are under the direction of Cloverdale Funeral Home.
