Born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on November 2, 1920, Jewel was a daughter of the late Newt Jefferson Hayes and Liley (DePreast) Hayes.
Jewel was employed as a mill worker while living in Alabama as a young woman, and later worked at Texas Instruments and Beaupre Jewelry. She was a member of the Plainville Baptist Church, and enjoyed quilting, sewing and knitting. She delighted others with her cooking and baking skills, and loved meeting people and interacting with them as an Avon representative.
In addition to her husband, Eugene, Jewel leaves her children: son Eugene D. Beaupre, Jr. and his wife, Constance, of North Attleboro; son Leo Dewayne Beaupre of North Attleboro; daughter Donna (Beaupre) Jette and her husband, Ron, of Indianapolis, IN; daughter Denese Beaupre of Stuart, FL; son Vincent Beaupre of Attleboro; and son Daniel Beaupre and his wife, Jackie, of Coconut Creek, FL; as well as her nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she treasured.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation in the Plainville Baptist Church, 62 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762.
Burial services will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA
