Mrs. Edwin C. Haynie, who a number of years ago was a member of one of Springfield's leading families, died at noon Monday at her home in St. Paul, Minn., according to word received by friends here. Mrs. Haynie's husband was a son of the late General I. N. Haynie, adjutant general of the state of Illinois during the Civil war period. The Haynie family moved from this city a number of years ago.
The body will arrive in Springfield over the Chicago & Alton railroad and will be taken directly to Oak Ridge cemetery where funeral services will be held at the grave.
Surviving Mrs. Haynie are four children, Donald and Miss Margaret Haynie, Mrs. Harry and Mrs. Warner. Mrs. W. W. Tracy of Chicago and Mrs. Percival Ryan of St. Paul are sisters-in-law of the decedent.
