Services for Harry Haynie, 79, 817 NE Adams St., former chief of the Peoria Fire Department, who died Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital, will be at Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
Mr. Haynie was born in Peoria May 23, 1882. He was the son of Frank and Lena Warner Haynie, and married Rose Elizabeth Skaggs at Pekin in 1915. He served on the Peoria Fire Department for 26 years, being chief in 1922 and 1923. After retiring from the department, he worked at the inspection desk at Carson Pirie Scott & Co.
Surviving are his wife.
