Daughter of James Poe Alton and Margaret Kealy, of Mallow, Co. Cork.

John Edward Healy of 35 Belgrave Road, Rathmines, Dublin, a Journalist, son of James N. Healy deceased, married Adeline Alton of 20 Grosvenor Road, Rathmines, daughter of James P. Alton, a Bank Inspector, on 16 November 1898, at St. Peter's Church [C of I], Aungier Street, Dublin.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. P. Mahaffy, D.D. Fellow of Trinity College Dublin [later the provost].
The witnesses were
Wm. Alton, T.W. Rolleston, Arthur F. Smith, John H. Bernard



in the 1911 Census, the Healy family were living at Leeson Park, Dublin.

present were,

John Edward Healy, aged 39, a Barrister (not practising), Journalist, B.A., TCD, married, born in Dublin City.
Adeline, his wife, aged 39, married, born in Co. Cork.
They had been married 12 years and had 2 childre.

Ernest Alton Healy, son, aged 11, a Scholar, born in Dublin City.
Lewin Edward, son, aged 8, a Scholar, born in Dublin City. [b. 20 Jan. 1903]

John's sister was also present,
Hennrietta Charlotte Healy, aged 37, a Teacher of Drawing, single, born in Co. Louth.
a domestic servant, Margaret O'Rourke, aged 38, was also present.
