Sylvia Holley Bellairs, 95, passed away Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 17, 1919, in Rexburg, to Parley and Jeneve Pearl Parker Hemming. Sylvia attended school in Pocatello, graduating from high school and completing two years at Idaho State College.

She married Bill Andy Holley of Rexburg on Jan. 21, 1941. Her husband worked for Boeing in Seattle, where a daughter was born followed by two sons. With Bill entering the Army, the family moved through the years to Utah, California, Oklahoma, Texas and Germany. Sylvia still managed to raise her children and see them all through careers of their own. Dance, music, art, golf, bowling and travel, all became part of her talents and hobbies.

Losing her husband in 1969, Sylvia married Eldon Bellairs in 1971. They lived in Wahoo, Neb., until his passing in 1974.

She moved to Idaho Falls to be near family and remained there since. Grandma "B" was especially fond of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they were of her. Laughing was her constant song. She brightened any presence with her wonderful personality.

She is survived by her children, Jane (Robert) Hoff of Idaho Falls, Bill (Doris) Holley of Firth and Richard (Rovene) Holley of Idaho Falls; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Cook of Kennewick, Wash.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Buck-Miller-Hann Funeral Home, 825 E. 17th St., with Pastor Larry Cudmore officiating. Burial will follow at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery in Idaho Falls.
