Germantown, TN - M. Elizabeth (Libby) Betchick died January 23, 2016 at 99 years old. She was born October 5, 1916 in Philadelphia, PA to Herbert and Grace Hemming. Elizabeth received a BA degree from Drexel University where she was captain of the Women's Field Hockey team. After graduation, she was a teacher in Mt. Holly, NJ and later in Belleville, NJ. She was a very talented artist and loved painting in water colors. She also knitted and crocheted many beautiful afghans and sweaters. Throughout her life, she was always working on a craft project. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John P. Betchick, Sr. Elizabeth leaves her three children, John (Jack) Betchick, Jr. (Sharryl), Donna Grim (Don), and Kurt Betchick (Ruth). She also leaves seven grandchildren, Thomas Betchick (Alissa), Jonathan Betchick (Elizabeth), Robin Hutchens (John), Brian Grim (Kristin), Douglas Grim (Heather), Nicholas Grim (Amie), Rachel Betchick and 15 great-grandchildren.
