Born in Birmingham, England. On December 30, 1933, he married Evangeline Benson (also known as Eva Benson, star of the British stage in the 1920s & 30s). They then went to Bengal, India, where Albert had a pratice on a jungle tea plantation. Three years later, they returned to England where he practiced medicine & their son, Anthony, was born in 1938. RKO studios invited him to Hollywood in 1939, where his knowledge of tropical diseases & London hospitals was needed for the tech. direction of the film "Vigil in the Night." During World War II, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry & became the first medical director for Geigy Pharmaceutical in Ardsley, NY. Dr. Hemming then worked with other pharmaceutical companies in New York City until he passed away at the age of 64 from a heart attack. He was survived by his wife, son, & a granddaughter.
