CHITTENANGO >> Bernice I. Bramley, 93, formerly of Castle Street, Oneida Castle, passed away on Dec. 19, 2016, in the comfort of her daughter's home.
Born in Westmoreland on Nov. 10, 1923, she was the daughter of George and Sarah Maude Wadsworth Hemming. A resident of Chittenango, Canastota and Oneida Castle since 1952, coming from Clark Mills, she was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1942. Bernice married Amos "Ted" Bramley in St. Mark's Church in New York Mills in 1947. Mr. Bramley died in 1978.
Bernice was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Canastota where she was active in the choir and altar guild. She was a member of the Canastota Lionettes where she served as president three times and achieved 35 years of perfect attendance. Bernice was an avid golfer and golfed in several local leagues, enjoyed bowling and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Surviving are: two daughters, Denise I. Deppoliti and Wendy Gratien, both of Chittenango; three grandchildren, Bruce M. Deppoliti of East Syracuse, Brian B. Deppoliti and Bramley M. and Michael Reese all of Chittenango; five step grandchildren and their spouses, Deborah Cordell, Rochelle and John Swieton, Edward J. and Jenni Gratien, Kristen and Brian Devine and Michael Gratien; three great-grandchildren, Brina Deppoliti, Adelaide Reese and Gemma Reese and numerous step-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Hemming.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday from the Trinity Episcopal Church, 400 S. Peterboro St., Canastota, with the Rev. James Heidt, officiating. Spring interment will be made in Kirkland Cemetery. Friends may call at the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 S.
