HEMPFLING – Alvis Fred, age 58 years, residence, 3750 Craig Avenue, suddenly, July 26, 1941, at Knoxville, Tenn.; beloved husband of Josephine Hempfling; father of Lawrence, Alfred, William, Frank and Miss Josephine Hempfling; brother of William Hempfling. Also survived by two grandchildren. Funeral from the residence Tuesday morning at 8:30, and at Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament, Taylor and Berry Blvd., at 9 o'clock. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Rosary will be recited by the Altar Society at 8 p.m. Sunday, and Monday by the Holy Name Society.
