Germaine, 86, formerly Delphos, OH, passed away at her home.

She was a daughter to Albert and Frances (Brinkman) Hempfling. On Aug 6, 1946, in Delphos, she married Elmer D. Hemker, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are eleven sons, Dan (Marie), Tom (Kim) and Mike, all Coldwater, Tony (Rita), Sherwood, Bob (Janice) and Tim (Carol), both Union City, Ed (Bonnie) and Charlie (Bee), both Bronson, Jay (Christy), Battle Creek, Chris (Cindy), Tekonsha, and Marian, Hudson; two daughters, Jeanne (Lenny) Wannemacher, Ottoville, OH, and Beth (Ned) Yearling, Coldwater; a brother, Herbert, Delphos; a sister, Beatrice Miller, Delphos; and thirty-two grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, Kenneth; and a brother, Cyril.

She had worked at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Delphos St. John's School, both Delphos, and had been a bookkeeper at the local telephone company before moving to the Coldwater, MI, area in 1956. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Coldwater, where she was involved in the Council of Catholic Women and Our Lady of Fatima Guild. She was active in the Knights of Columbus functions with her husband and continued to remain active even after his death. She enjoyed helping with the church funeral dinners and going out for breakfast with the other women of the church. She enjoyed embroidering, reading, bowling and playing cards, especially euchre. She was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, who loved the time she spent with her family. She especially enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play softball.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Coldwater, with Fr. Dan Doctor, officiating.
