BRINKMEIER, Wilda Mae Henderson, 87, of Triadelphia, died Friday, May 10, 2013, at home.

She was born June 3, 1925, in Bridgeport, OH, a daughter of the late Jay Golden and Marian Iola Elbert Henderson.

Wilda was a homemaker and a former employee of Sylvania Electric and Warwick China, where she painted the gold rims onto the plates; she also worked for the voting polls in Triadelphia.

Wilda was a member of Stone Presbyterian Church, a 25-year member of the Oglebay Wood Carvers Guild, former member of the Altar Society of Our Lady of the Seven Dolors Church, member of the Chat N' Chew Club, Lansing, OH, one of the founding members of the Fish Fry Ladies of Seven Dolors, the Pie Lady at Stone Presbyterian Church, and a Y.M.C.A. Water Aerobics member. She quilted, embroidered, crocheted and sewed for more than seventy years She taught all of her family members to quilt, was known for her holiday pizelles, was an avid reader, and enjoyed photography,

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis George Brinkmeier, whom she met at the Wheeling Island Roller Rink; her sister, Mary Jane Livengood; and her parents,

Surviving are Wilda's eight children, Anna Brinkmeier of Wheeling, WV, Louis (Jelinda) Brinkmeier of Triadelphia, WV, Fran Brinkmeier of Canton, OH, Will Brinkmeier of Triadelphia, WV, Theresa (Bill) Thomas of Hudson, NC, Mary (Stephen) Dolan of Wheeling, WV, Clara Brinkmeier of San Diego, CA and Alice Stagg of St. Clairsville, OH; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

We would like to acknowledge a very special friend, Ronda Hastings; Mom's personal care giver and friend for the last two years. Thank you for your steadfast loyalty. Your kind and gentle spirit is a blessing for our family.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Wheeling. Funeral services will be held there Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Oglebay Wood Carvers Guild at Oglebay Institute's Stifel Fine Arts Center 1330 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003.
